Easter is a time for renewal, family gatherings, and, of course, pastel outfits! Since the holiday traditionally involve activities like egg hunts and Sunday brunches, the emphasis on spring style is so important.

As flowers start blooming, Easter outfits often reflect the season's freshness with pretty pastel colors, floral patterns, and light, airy fabrics.

I have to admit that there's something extra special about Easter outfits. I absolutely love, love, love all things pastel! These softer shades make me feel so happy and bubbly inside! 

Easter marks the time when spring is officially in season! I feel like spring doesn't get enough credit, but it's my favorite season. With winter behind us and flowers all around, I could be more excited! 

HOW TO PICK THE PERFECT EASTER OUTFIT

Picking the perfect Easter outfit means putting together a cute outfit that is practical for the occasion and wonderfully stylish! 

Whether you are attending a church service, a casual family gathering, or a fun eater egg hunt, the goal is to look chic and feel comfortable.

Traditional attire might include suits for men and boys, and dresses or skirt-and-blouse combinations for women and girls, often in shades that echo the spring palette- pretty pastels, of course! 

There's something so sweet and flattering about wearing a pastel outfit, especially coming out of wintertime. This is when I really start to feel excited for the warmer months and all of that vibrant energy that comes after this lovely holiday! 

Since the weather can be unpredictable this time of year, layering options are also worth considering. A cute cardigan or chic blazer that complements your outfit is a great layering option!

I also love dressing up on easter and watching my kids get all excited over finding easter eggs and treasures hidden all over the yard! It's adorable watching the littles get so much joy from such a cute and fun activity! 

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO CHURCH ON EASTER?

Joggers are a great comfy and versatile addition to your wardrobe. I love to wear Joggers when walking the dog, playing at the park with my kids, camping, hiking and even for around the house and working out. 

WHAT TO LOOK FOR WHEN SHOPPING FOR JOGGERS 

When it comes to fit, go for a pair of joggers that are neither too loose nor too tight. Look for a pair that cinches at the ankles for a cute look. In terms of fabric, lightweight materials are ideal for a casual day out, while joggers made from more structured materials such as vegan leathers or satin can elevate your outfit for a fun night out.

JOGGERS AND EARLY MOTHERHOOD 

Side note, joggers were literally my best friend after I gave birth. Since leggings and yoga pants can be too tight when your just a few days or even weeks postpartum, I wore several different jogger outfits for the first 2 months after baby. I recommend this to everyone!

Joggers are the way to go after recently having a baby! They are the most comfortable option and a step up from PJs so you can feel like you're getting dressed and accomplishing at least something everyday in those early newborn days. However, I recommend getting some fresh pairs of joggers if you haven't in a while. They will look and feel so much better! 

JOGGER OUTFIT STYLES AND COLORS

Neutral tones like black, gray, or beige are pretty versatile and can be paired with a variety of tops and accessories. They are easy to throw on and wear. However, don't be afraid to experiment with bolder hues or playful patterns to add that pop of personality to your look.

I sometimes find that it's too easy to fall into patterns of wearing easy clothes all of the time and while this is great for convenience, the day to day can get a little bland.

GETTING DRESSED UP WITH AN INFANT 

If you are going out on the town and your baby is tagging along you can definitely still get all dressed up! Just don't forget to pack extra clothes, diapers, wipes and snacks for your little ones.

You might also want to pack an extra top or dress for yourself incase of spit up or a blow out. You just never know when an accident might happen. I always say it's better to be safe than sorry!

HOW DO I GET DRESSED UP WITH A NEW BABY?

Now, if you're wondering how in the world to get dressed up with a new baby in tow, the best thing to do is feed your baby first and while they are sleeping after their meal, take those few moments to get dressed and ready. 

I have two kids and my second baby was what we called a "velcro baby". My baby never wanted to be put down, even when sleeping. I just used a baby wrap to carry my baby around in all day long to keep baby oh-so happy and cozy. But when I needed to work, get ready,  take a shower or cook dinner, things would get tricky. 

I quickly learned that nursing while laying down meant that I could get up once baby has fallen asleep.  If you have tried nursing in the rocking chair only to be left with an awake baby after trying to set your baby down in the crib-you are not alone!

The trick is to nurse or feed your baby on a floor bed. This way you can nurse laying down and when they fall asleep, you just slowly and carefully get up. This was the only way I managed to get my baby to sleep alone and be able to get things done. 

Of course, every baby is situation is different and you just have to figure out what works best for you.

TAKING CARE OF YOURSELF AS A MOM WITH A NEW BABY 

After I had my second baby, I wasn't feeling like my old self anymore and to make matters worse, most of my pre-pregnancy clothes still didn't fit me right.

I have a teenager and a toddler, so I am spending time with several mom groups and mom friends who are in various stages of their motherhood journeys. This is merely a recommendation that I would have loved to having prior to my first baby!
